Loon Mountain is where it all started. Fifteen years ago, a small group of women gathered at the gondola to up the ante when it came to riding in the park at an event called Droppin’ In. Over a decade later, that group has grown into a dedicated community of female snowboarders and skiers, 70+ of whom return every year to celebrate the start of spring with a weekend of riding Loon Mountain Park.
2019 marks the fifteenth anniversary this epic ski and snowboard weekend and while the Droppin’ In is now called simply Beyond the Boundaries, it is the same celebration both on hill and off. The Loon Mountain Park Crew builds an enormous park perfect for all ability levels featuring every type of rail and box imaginable, progression jumps, and unique features that change up every year, like a-frame jibs, quarterpipes and hips. Groups also take runs through the larger parks at Loon and drop into the mountain's halfpipe.
Saturday, the annual Bunyan Room party, featuring a new theme every year, provides one of the best apres extravaganzas of the winter in the White Mountains! Last year's was a St. Patrick’s Day theme--what will 2019 bring?
Join BTBounds at Loon Mountain, a weekend that not only offers up trick learning but an opportunity to hang out with dozens of women who share the same passion for being outside in winter!
